New York Jets Flight Connections 2/4/21

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Reports have suggested that Texans’ QB Deshaun Watson will intend to sit out the NFL season if he isn’t traded by the team. The leverage the Texans have is dissipating with each passing day, and outside of the Jets there aren’t many teams who can afford Watson’s cap hit (without getting creative with the cap) after this upcoming season. These things bode well for the Jets’ chances on the off-chance that Watson does end up forcing his way out of Houston, but the team would be wise not to put all of their eggs in one basket. Fortunately, I think the tandem of Saleh and Douglas are aware of that and are planning for every outcome to make the decision they think is correct going forward.
