1. For Covid-19 long-haulers, online therapy group provides a refuge. As COVID-19 shows no sign of letting up anytime soon, it’s been a struggle on virtually everyone who resides on planet earth. Overdose rates and mental health diagnoses are at an all time high, but an online therapy group helps many cope with long term issues after contracting the virus. Kacey Farber, a social worker and case manager at Huntington Hospital started running therapy groups early last year, and has helped many through their challenges. “It was perfect timing needed for forging relationships with people,” she said. “You get that connection. It’s been a blessing just to have that connection with people,” she said. “The group has been like a safe haven, to just talk to people who get it”. (http://www.huntingtonNow.com)
2. Stolen French Bulldog found, returned to owners. The power of social media has been put to good use, as the French Bulldog Stella was returned to her Huntington owners. Stella was found on Rhododendron Drive in Center Moriches by a woman, police said. The woman’s neighbors recognized Stella as the missing dog, police said. Stella was returned to her owners which made all of Long Island smile! (Huntington Patch)
