- Donation drive for veterans to be hosted in Huntington Station. A contactless donation drive to support veterans will be taking place next weekend. The South Huntington Girl Scouts are set to host the drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Saturday at the South Huntington Public Library, at 145 Pidgeon Hill Road, Huntington Station. The Girl Scouts are seeking non-perishable food and personal care items such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, deodorant, etc. Please stop by and give what you can! (Huntington Patch)
- Man shot and killed in garage at Huntington Station home: police. Just before midnight last night, a man was shot and killed inside a garage on Murdock Street in Huntington Station. A group of people were in the garage of the home when a group of people, at least one of whom had a gun, walked up to the driveway, police said. The people in the garage closed the door, and a shot was fired from the driveway, through the door, striking Louis Lombardo, 28, of Dix Hills, police said. Lombardo was pronounced dead at Huntington Hospital. (Huntington Patch)
