The man suspected of shooting two people near a youth flag football game in Virginia turned himself in to police Thursday.
Isaiah Malik Gordon, 23, was seen on May 1 in an argument with another man, police say. Gordon then allegedly fired multiple shots around 10 a.m. that struck a 24-year-old man and a 33-year-old man. Both survived their gunshot wounds.
One man reported seeing hundreds of children scatter and duck for cover at the sound of gunshots at Benton Middle School in Manassas, Virginia.
Police charged Gordon with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding, one count of possession of a firearm on school grounds, two counts of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and two counts of use of a firearm while on school grounds. Gordon is currently being held without bond.

Gordon was identified by police as a suspect before he turned himself in. Officials published his name as soon as they confirmed his identity, which was apparently known by the victim who he was said to be arguing with ahead of the shooting.
Police initially offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the perpetrator’s arrest. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives later increased the reward, offering an additional $5,000.
