Tiger girls play first football game
It wasn’t the start the Terra Nova girls flag football team was hoping to have against Capuchino, and the result was a lopsided 35-0 loss on Sept. 13 at San Mateo High School.
The defense played strong in the first half, with an interception by Jasmine Hadeed. Izzy Cota had a second-half interception to keep Capuchino on their toes.
Shannon Hagemann had a great catch from quarterback Madison Donati.
“Each girl on the team made a significant contribution to the game,” said Coach Jason Hagemann. “Heading into Week 2 the nerves are in the past and looking forward to a strong second game.”
