FOOTBALL
Jefferson County league
The Jefferson County Youth Football League will be holding in-person registration for the coming season beginning this week.
There will be registration from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Registration fee is 75. The uniform fee for football is $70 and $60 for cheer.
It is open to ages 6-11 for football 5-11 for cheer.
There will be flag football for 4-5 year-olds. The fee is $50.
All registrations will be held at Marcus Field.

Flag football camp
Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks & Recreation is now accepting registration for the Youth Flag Football Camp for boys and girls ages 6-9.
The camp will be held at the Moose field next to the Berkeley 2000 Recreation Center (parking in rear lot.) The camp dates are June 27 and June 29, running from 5:45-7:15pm
Registration is filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, and pre-registration is required to attend this clinic. The clinic is limited to the first 16 registrants. The registration fee is $40 per participant.

GOLF
EPEC tournament
The Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center is holding a golf tournament July 23 at Cress Creek Golf Club.
All proceeds will benefit survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, dating violence and human trafficking.
It will be a captain’s choice scramble.
There will be prizes for the top two teams. Breakfast and lunch, as well as on-course beverages will be provided.
Cost is $100 or $375 for teams of four.
Sponsorships are available, ranging from $100 to $1,000.
Registration takes place at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9.

SOCCER
Parks and Rec camps
Martinsburg/Berkeley County Parks and Recreation is sponsoring soccer camps this summer under the direction of Jason Howe.
Cost is $50 per child/per camp
The camps will feature skills, drills, fundamentals and small-sided games. Shin guards and cleats are required. Please bring a bottle of water. Pre-registration is required. Camp size is limited to the first 24 registrants in each camp.
These four-day soccer camps are taking place at the DuPont Soccer Complex, located off DuPont Road, Martinsburg.

BASEBALL
There will be a tryout for the 14u Rawling Tigers spring and summer 2022 season at 11 a.m. Aug. 7 at Pikeside Field.

GENERAL
Zumba classes
The Summer 2021 Zumba registration is now for Martinsburg/Berkeley County Parks and Registration.
Twenty-two classes cost $42.
The classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesday evenings at the Berkeley 2000 Recreation Center, 273 Woodbury Ave., Martinsburg.
There are two sessions, one indoor and one outdoor.
Those 13-17 must register with an adult.
There is a 5:30-6:30 p.m. session that will be held in the large dance room of the Berkeley 2000 Recreation Center.
The outdoor session will be held from 6:45-7:45 p.m. at the side parking lot of the Berkeley 2000 Recreation Center.

Coaching classes
West Virginia Secondary School coaching classes will take place over three different weekends in July and August at Spring Mills High School.
Participants must attend both weekend sessions.
On July 17, it will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on June 18, it will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
On Aug. 13, it will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Aug. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The classes will take place in the library. Parking is in the north lot, adjacent to the stadium.
Interested individuals must apply online at WVSSAC.org. Walk-ins are not permitted.
Yoga classes
Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation is currently accepting registrations for yoga.
This class runs year round and takes place from 9:45-10:45 a.m. on Wednesdays.
Preregistration is required. Cost is $32 per person per month.

Silver Sneakers
Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation is currently accepting registrations for Silver Sneakers for ages 55 and up.
This class is covered by some insurances.
The classes take place from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The fee for those whose insurance doesn’t cover the cost is $20 per month for two days a week, or $30 per month for three days a week.

Senior players are wanted for racquetball.

Adventure camps
Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks & Recreation is registering for the coming Summer Adventure Day Camps.
There are two locations from which to choose The Berkeley 2000 Recreation Center in Martinsburg, and The W. Randy Smith Recreation Center in Inwood.
These camps are for children who were 5 as of Sept. 1, 2020- and no older than 12 years of age as of the first day of camp.
The camps will run weekly, throughout the summer. The registration fee is $120 per child/per week. (There is a $5 sibling discount and a discount for children attending multiple weeks.)
The camps run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with before- and after-care offered at an additional fee. It begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m.

BASKETBALL
AAU tournaments
There are openings for boys and girls teams in West Virginia AAU tournaments.
They are for grades 3 through 11.
The boys tournaments are June 25-27.

St. Maria Goretti camps
St. Maria Goretti will host three basketball camps for players 8-14.
The camps will take place June 28-July 1 and Aug. 9-12.
The sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
