Spruce Creek survived another treacherous trip to Orange County for the opening round of the FHSAA’s flag football playoffs.

The Hawks (13-2) will seek revenge Thursday when they travel to Fleming Island. The Golden Eagles blanked Spruce Creek 25-0 last week for the District 3-2A championship.
Jayda Centeno put Creek on the board in the first quarter with a 34-yard TD reception from Snowden. Herb doubled the lead with a 12-yard catch in the third, followed by a PAT conversion from Snowden to Summerlyn Chastain.
