A new youth flag football league is starting in Lockport this spring.
The Niagara Youth Football League is scheduled to join the NFL FLAG League, a league backed but not sponsored by the NFL. Three co-ed divisions will be available for 7- and-8-year-olds, 9, 10 and 11-year-olds and 12- and 13-year-olds with 40 slots available for two NYFL teams in each division in the 12-team league.
Games will be played at Houghton Park in Buffalo, with options for regional and championship tournaments within the NFL FLAG League. There will also be an indoor tournament held Feb. 24 at Kenan Arena, along with a combine April 27 at Kenan Arena.
