Sponsors are still needed for Poinciana Little League’s opening day on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sponsors needed are yard card vendors, a D.J. skilled enough for player introductions and music, one or two bounce houses, chef/pastry artisan vendors to sell and showcase their products and services and a balloon arch designer.

Poinciana Youth Sports Association is currently registering youth for the 2022 Junior Magic Basketball League spring season. The season runs from March 26 to May 14. This co-ed youth basketball league is for ages 6-17. The registration fee is $125, which includes a customized Junior Magic customized jersey and a free ticket to an Orlando Magic game. Practices and games will all be in the Poinciana area. The registration deadline is Feb. 19 (a $25 late fee will be applied after that) and draft day with be Feb. 26.

The inaugural Youth Flag Football Combine/Skills Challenge for youth in grades K-6 will be on March 5 at Poinciana Community Park (5109 Allegheny Road), hosted by the Poinciana Athletic League. Participants can test their speed, strength, agility and football skills.
Players will be evaluated in: speed (40 yd. dash, proagility run), power (vertical jump, broad jump) and skill (throwing distance, throwing accuracy, running agility). Awards will be given for top three in each age group. This event is free.

The 2022 Poinciana Youth Flag Football League (PYFFL) begins on March 7. The fee to participate is $100 ($125 after Feb. 28). Registration is open for boys and girls ages 7-14 (limited roster slots are available). Custom twopiece jersey sets will be provided. The season ends May 28. Players will compete within their age group. Practice will be two days a week with one game a week.
