HOW TO USE SCALE
When grading a player on their abilities, try to stick to the following scale to help keep the ratings fair and be as honest as possible.
90 – 100 – Top 10% Nationally
80 – 90 – Top 10% Regionally
70 – 80 – Average
60 – 70 – Below Average
50 – 60 – Beginner
CRITERIA
POSITION MASTERY
Skill mastery for primary position and style for abilities such as throw power/accuracy, hands, coverage skills, blocking, etc. and overall effectiveness and dominance at the position.
SPEED & ELUSIVENESS
Evaluation of how the player uses their speed, hip/dip moves, and general quickness towards the mastery of their primary position.
KNOWLEDGE & INSTINCTS
Overall experience and knowledge of the game and it’s impact on their ability to perform at their primary position and style.
TECHNIQUE
General footwork, Pitching ability, Route Running, and other technique based skills that impact their primary position and style.
INFLUENCE
Leadership, attitude, reputation and intangibles such as ability to help the team in other positions or styles that lead to an overall high level of influence towards team success.
Ratings will reset on February 1st of each year so evaluate each player on their current abilities!
