GENEVA COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — In just a few weeks, an inaugural rock festival will take over the City of Two Rivers.
On Saturday, October 7, several popular rock bands will take center stage at the first Big Oak Rock Festival at Robert Fowler Park.
Mayor David Hayes and the city council believe it’ll bring in hundreds, possibly thousands of young people from across the southeast.
It’s hoped a Post-summer event like a rock concert will draw tourists to Geneva. There will be food trucks and other vendors at the site.
“Advertise we got tickets on sale. We have VIP tickets on sale. It’s going to be a big production. We hopefully will have it each year. It’s going to be called the Big Oak Music Festival,” says Mayor Hayes.
On Saturday, the gates will open at 2:00 p.m. The bands will start playing at 3:00 p.m. For entry fees and other information on the Big Oak Music Festival, you can check the Geneva website by clicking here.
