Peter R. Sharkey, Jr.
Salisbury – Peter R. Sharkey, Jr., 58, a longtime resident of Salisbury, passed away unexpectedly December 10, 2020. He was born in Newburyport, July 26, 1962 the son of Peter R. Sharkey of Newburyport and the late Jolene (Turner) Sharkey.
Raised and educated in Newburyport, Peter graduated from Newburyport High School with the Class of 1981. He was employed as a carpenter and raised his family in Salisbury where he was very active as a coach with Salisbury Little League and Salisbury Flag Football for many years. He was loved by many Salisbury kids. In his earlier years he enjoyed playing on softball leagues.
He leaves his wife Anne-Marie (Griffin) Sharkey and his three children, Ryan, Cory, Kelly Sharkey all of Salisbury, his father Peter and his wife Patsy Sharkey of Newburyport, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his sister, Roxie Lavalley.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of traditional remembrances, donations may be made to Seacoast Youth Flag Football, 15 Rabbit Road, Salisbury, MA 01952.
