In a bid to highlight the global reach of Flag football – a variant of American football where the players must remove a flag from the ball carrier instead of tackling players – and inspire future generations, the NFL has linked up with JAY-Z’s lifestyle and accessories label, Paper Planes, to release a series of exclusive New Era headwear for the NFL Flag International Tournament that took place at the 2023 Pro Bowl Games in Las Vegas.
Comprised of 32 59FIFTY caps each representing a team in the NFL, the capsule was offered to squads who starred in the tournament as they aimed to showcase their skills alongside top NFL players.
“This collaboration is inspired by the core meaning of Paper Planes and showcases the power the NFL has to bring people together from across the world” said Eddie Capobianco, NFL’s Vice President of Culture Marketing.
The NFL x Paper Planes New Era headwear collection is now available in the US via the NFL online store and globally on paperplane.shop.
