The Braves (5-3, 5-2) began their second round of Mountain League play by winning by the same 5-4 count against the Pirates at Lompoc as the Braves won by at Santa Ynez in Lompoc’s season opener.
The reigning Central Section Division 3 champions notched the win they needed to assure themselves of the minimum winning percentage required to apply for entry into the playoffs.
Rianna Stouppe and Mia Jansen, at No. 1 doubles, and Lola Soukup and Ava Velasco, at No. 2, won and gave Lompoc a 2-1 edge going into singles play. The Braves split six singles sets, and that was good enough for them to take the win.

Gabi Arias won in straight sets at No. 2 singles for the Braves. Morea Noretto, at No. 3 singles, Kate Mazza at No. 4 and Danielle Hyland at No. 5 all won in straight sets for the Pirates.
Cloe Christianson and Nathaly Medoza scored a 9-7 win at No. 3 to give Santa Ynez its doubles point.
