LAKE KATRINE, N.Y. — Kingston High’s girls flag football team scored a 12-0 victory over Rhinebeck on Wednesday at M. Clifford Miller Middle School.
The shutout was the first in school history for the first-year program. The Tigers improved to 3-1.
Hannah Tampasis returned an interception 45 yards as time expired in the first half to give the Tigers a 6-0 halftime lead. Quarterback Caroline Connolly threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Keeley Savona in the second half to give Kingston a 12-0 lead.
Mackenzie Martin led Kingston’s defense with 11 flag pulls. Tampasis had seven flag pulls.
The Tigers travel to Saugerties High for a 4:30 p.m. contest on Saturday. It will be a rematch of Kingston’s 30-20 win over
the Sawyers on Monday.
