NORTHPORT, NY — Northport High School’s varsity wrestling team took home the Section XI league II championship on Wednesday with a win over Commack High School, the Northport-East Northport School District announced.
Northport defeated Commack 43-16 under the leadership of coach Robert “Thad” Aliberti. The squad went undefeated in League II and has an overall 15-4 record thus far. This is Northport’s fifth league II title in school history.
