Dos Pueblos flag football went 2-1 in the Coastal Clash Flag Football Tournament at Hueneme High School on Saturday.
After losing their opening game to Oak Park 20-12, the Chargers took down Oxnard, 26-6, and defeated Camarillo by a score of 18-6.
Across the three games, Gianna Nichols threw seven touchdown passes. Maddie Jones caught three of them, Brooklyn Hedricks hauled in a pair and both Katie Peterson and Esme Mazurkiewicz scored one.
On the defensive side of the ball, Taylor Hayes turned in multiple sacks while Sophie Choi reached the quarterback once.
Hedricks picked up two interceptions including a pick-six, and both Jones and Emily Raymond came away with an interception.
The loss to Oak Park was Dos Pueblos’ first of the year, bringing their season-long record to 11-1. They are 4-0 in league play.
