Continuing their commitment to support girls and women in football, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to host the nation’s largest girls flag football tournament later this week.
50 teams and more than 1,200 athletes from across the state of Florida will compete in the Bucs’ third annual Preseason Classic tournament, with support from team co-owner Darcie Glazer-Kassewitz, coaches Maral Javadifar and Lori Locust, as well as Tampa mayor Jane Castor, per a release from the team.
The three-day event and round-robin style tournament will be held at Tournament SportsPlex of Tampa Bay beginning on February 25th, and will lead up to the start of the FHSAA’s flag football season, which kicks off on March 1st.
