1. Home shopping channel Shop LC has just finalized a land purchase in Cedar Park for its new “green” national headquarters. Austin-based Fuse Architecture Studio will design the 200,000-plus square-foot facility near the intersection of East New Hope Drive and North Bell Boulevard (US 183). The project is expected to bring 1,000 jobs to Cedar Park when it is completed in September 2024. “We want our new campus to showcase the next generation of how a business can be automated and operate with a low carbon footprint,” said Shop LC North American President Amit Agarwal. 2. Let’s go Bulldogs! This Cedar Park youth football team represented Central Texas in a flag football tournament at the 2022 NFL Pro Bowl. About a dozen nine-year-olds took the field in Nevada over the weekend and made it all the way to the national semifinals in the NFL Flag Bowl. The Cedar Park Bulldogs had already won a combined 13 national and world championships prior to this year’s Pro Bowl. Assistant coach Kenny Vaccaro, a former Longhorn and NFL safety, told KVUE that the team’s work ethic has led to their success on the field. (KVUE.com)
