1. Atlantique Shop Opens in West Hills. Atlantique shop opened Saturday in West Hills, right behind Umbertos Pizza. Owner Nancy Krass has run Atlantique for 40 years, specializing in restoration of antique furniture. The new shop, at 741a West Jericho Turnpike, features newly created works, which features cabinets, bamboo wind chimes, tables, plates and more. The pieces include custom made furniture, such as benches. (http://www.huntingtonNow.com)
2. ICYMI: Annual Winter Wonderland returns to South Huntington. After holding a virtual Winter Wonderland last year, the event returned in person to the South Huntington School district at Stimson Middle School. “It’s a great thrill! We weren’t able to do this last year, obviously, but we brought it back bigger and better than ever this year,” Board of Education President Nicholas Ciappetta said. “We had a great showing. I think the community really enjoyed this, and it’s really something special. It really shows everything that’s great about South Huntington.” (Huntington Patch)
3. Schools: Gingerbread houses; Blue Devils beat Wildcats. Check out what went on in Town of Huntington schools this past week! There was a gingerbread house contest at Huntington High School hosted by the National Honor Society and the Blue Devils basketball beat Walt Whitman Friday night, 60-53, in a non-league game in South Huntington.
