Good morning, Huntington! Let’s get you started this Thursday with everything you need to know going on today in town.
Hey Huntington: As you may know, Amazon Web Services experienced an outage on Tuesday that affected the Huntington Daily. Some of you might have received a late newsletter on Wednesday, or no newsletter at all. Please know this was unfortunately beyond our control, but know that we are fully back in business! -Andrew Tessler
First, today’s weather:
Sun, some clouds. High: 40 low: 33.
Here are the top stories in Huntington today:
- Beautiful weather on the horizon for Huntington. As we’ve had a stretch of warm then cold then the same pattern, some steady nice weather is coming to Huntington. Starting Saturday, the temperature will be 50 and up for a week straight. This gives you a few days to get some outside activities in before the snow and brutal cold of January and February hit New York. (Weather.com)
- WATCH: LI waitress goes viral on TikTok, kicks out customer. A video has amassed 7 million views of a waitress at The Massapequa Diner kicking out a patron. The unnamed man in the restaurant had been rude before and no one wanted to serve him, so waitress Sondra Albert kicked him out, which was captured on TikTok by patron Louis Cozzolino. (Patch)
- Fogo De Chão Opens In Huntington Station. The Brazilian steakhouse Fogo De Chão has opened its doors at the Walt Whitman Shops. The offerings feature authentic Brazilian cuisine from steaks to desserts, as the sweets include chocolate brigadeiro, papaya cream and Brazilian-style flan. Their seasonal market table offers fresh salads and soup, exotic fruits, vegetables, imported charcuterie and more. Patrons can also order cocktails and award-winning South American wines during all-day happy hour every day in Bar Fogo or the dining room. (Huntington Patch)
