Football team playing for conference championship
The Daytona Beach Broncos will face the Polk County Rise in the Florida Champion Football League Conference Championship at 7 pm. Saturday, May 14, at Derbyshire Park & Sports Complex, 849 Derbyshire Road, Daytona Beach.
The Broncos were 9-1 in the regular season, the best record in the league, and drew a first-round bye in the playoffs. The winner will play the winner of the Camden County Titans-Pompano Beach Outlaws game.

Daytona Tortugas
The Daytona Tortugas will face the Dunedin Blue Jays at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, to Saturday, May 21, and 5:35 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, 105 E. Orange Ave., Daytona Beach.
Tickets start at $8 for youth and seniors and $10 for adult general admission.
Senior Night
Port Orange Volleyball (also known as Daytona Beach Sports Club) will host its End of Season & Senior Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 23, at Lakeside Community Center, 1999 City Center Circle, Port Orange.
The volleyball club was founded in 2015 to serve Volusia County and it’s neighbors. They are a non-profit organization that offers affordable athletic programs to community members. The City of Port Orange is a co-sponsor to promote and help build volleyball in the community.
Kids Fishing Tournament
It’s time to register for the free 25th annual Kids Fishing Tournament, which will be from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, June 10, at Sunglow Fishing Pier, 3701 S. Atlantic Ave.
Participation is limited to 50 children. Poles and bait provided. Lunch, snack and drinks also provided. A parent or guardian must be present.
Register at the South Daytona Police Department Records Division, 1672 S. Ridgewood Ave. The tournament is sponsored by South Daytona Police and Daytona Beach Shores Department of Public Safety.

Tennis camp information
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will host summer tennis camps from 9 a.m. to noon, July 11 to 15 and July 18 to 22, at the ERAU Crotty Center Tennis Complex, 1 Aerospace Blvd., Daytona Beach.
Camp is for beginners and advance players. The cost is $165. Scholarships are available for players in kindergarten to eighth grade. Rackets available to borrow.
Campers will learn stroke mechanics, match play, fitness and team building, and have fun.

Youth flag football
Registration has begun for the Port Orange Parks & Recreation Youth Flag Football League.
The league is for children 5 to 13 (as of May 30) with games from June 20 to July 28. The cost is $55 for ages six and under, and $75 for ages 7 to 13.
Registration ends May 15 and there will be a skills assessment May 23.

Mayor’s Golf Tournament
The 36th annual Port Orange Mayor’s Invitational Golf Tournament will be Saturday, June 18, at Cypress Head Golf Club, 6231 Palm Vista St, Port Orange.
Teams of four will take on 18 holes in a scramble format.
Continental breakfast, cart and green fees, range balls, golf polo, two drink tickets, door prizes and awards buffet luncheon will be provided.
Proceeds from this year’s tournament benefit the Port Orange Parks and Recreation youth scholarship fund .
