Turkey Bowl becomes tradition in Elmsford as 100 kids gather for 2nd installment

There’s nothing like a little football on Thanksgiving, especially when it’s youth flag football.

A group of about 100 kids gathered in Elmsford on Thanksgiving morning for the second installment of Mad Dog Flag Football‘s holiday matchup.

Players from the recreational youth league, mixed with some kids from the neighborhood, divided into teams with names like the “Angry Birds” and “Butterballs.”

Most of the players said that when all was said and done, they’d be going home to watch the Giants game to keep the football festivities rolling all day long.
