Officers responded to the intersection of Route 9 and Hilliard Boulevard around 11:58 am on Saturday and learned that Earl Lewis, 84, of Barnegat was heading south in a 2018 Buick Enclave on Route 9 entering the intersection of Hilliard Boulevard when he was hit by a 2017 BMW Convertible driven by Kathleen Cochran, 53, of Manahawkin.
Police said that Cochran was heading west on Hilliard Boulevard at the time.
As she entered onto Route 9 though, police said Cochran then struck the Buick Enclave.
Lewis and his passenger as well as Cochran were then brought to Southern Ocean Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
Stafford Police are asking that anyone with information including any witnesses, are asked to contact Officer Justin Pascale, 609-597-1189 Extension: 8436 or jpascale@staffordpolice.org
