Registration for the Chino National Little League winterball season is under way at chinonational.com.
Cost is $95. Teams will play at 10-week season from Sept. 16 through Nov. 18.
Players will receive a hat, T-shirt. Baseballs and umpire and league fees are included.
Coaches and volunteers are needed.

Pee Wee basketball to begin in Chino
Children ages 3 to 6 can participate in the City of Chino’s Pee Wee basketball program, scheduled for Saturdays July 8 to Aug. 5 at the Neighborhood Activity Center, 5201 D St., next to Chino City Hall.
Cost is $60 for Chino residents, $70 for non-residents.
Players will receive a T-shirt, medal and certificate.
Players ages 3 and 4 will play from 8 to 9 a.m.; ages 4 and 5 will play from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.; and 5- and 6-year-olds will play from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Information: cityofchino.org or call (909) 334-3260.
Chino Hills to host Pee Wee sports
The City of Chino Hills will host its Pee Wee sports programs in basketball and soccer, starting in July.
Children ages 3 to 8 can participate.
•Ages 3 to 4, 3 to 3:50 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, at Grand Avenue Park, 1301 Grand Ave.
•Ages 4 to 5, 4 to 4:50 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays at Grand Avenue Park, 1301 Grand Ave.

Youth flag football to begin
An eight-week youth flag football league will take place Friday nights from Sept. 15 through Nov. 17 at Ayala Park Stadium, 14225 Central Ave. in Chino.
Children born between 2010 and 2017 can participate.
Cost is $65 for Chino residents, $75 for non-residents.
Registration deadline is Saturday, Aug. 12. After that date, cost rises by $10.
Men’s basketball league tips off July 9
City of Chino will host its 10-week men’s basketball league on Saturdays July 9 through Sept. 17 at the Neighborhood Activity Center, 5201 D St., Chino. Cost is $355 per team and $30 per game for referee’s fees. Players must be at least 18 years old. Deadline to register is today (July 1).
Free football camp July 8 at CHHS
Children ages 7 to 17 can attend a free football camp from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8 at Chino Hills High School, 16150 Pomona Rincon Road.
The camp was orginally scheduled for Chino High, but it was announced this week the camp has been relocated to Chino Hills High.
Former Cleveland Browns cornerback Daylon McCutcheon will oversee the camp, organizer Gabe Madrid said.
Only 200 spots are available.
Demolition derby July 22
Tickets for the 32nd annual Chino Challenge Demolition Derby are on sale at MK Smith Chevrolet, 12845 Central Ave., at Riverside Drive.
The derby is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, July 22 at the Chino Fairgrounds, located on the northeast corner of Central and Edison avenues.
Each year since its inception, derby tickets have sold out. General admission tickets are $30. Reserved seating is $40.
Around $25,000 in prize money will be awarded drivers, including $7,500 for first place, $3,000 for second place, $2,000 for third place, and $1,000 for fourth place.
Drivers finishing fifth through 18th will each receive $500.
A women’s only “front wheel drive” derby will be held as will a kids’ power wheels derby, organizers said. Prizes will also be raffled off for derby drivers.
Proceeds from this year’s auction car will be donated to Boys Republic in Chino Hills. The winner of the auction can enter the derby.

The Neighborhood Activity Center in Chino has open gym basketball.
Adult costs are $26 monthly or $2 daily for Chino residents, $36 monthly or $3 daily for non-Chino residents.
Youth in Chino can play for free, or $1 for children living outside of Chino.
