NASCAR promotes two key competition personnel
Brad Moran has been promoted to NASCAR Cup Series Managing Director and Seth Kramlich will transition to the role of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Managing Director.
Both Mr. Moran and Mr. Kramlich enter their new positions following years of experience managing racing series at the national level. Most recently, Mr. Moran was NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Managing Director. Mr. Kramlich moves to his new role after three years as NASCAR Xfinity Series Assistant Director.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Daytona State College sports teams have games this week.
ERAU women’s basketball will face Palm Beach Atlantic at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15.
ERAU men’s basketball will face Palm Beach Atlantic at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15.

Fishing seminars resume
The Halifax Sport Fishing Club’s monthly seminars will resume Thursday, Jan. 20, with a cooking seminar.
Different recipes and fileting with be presented.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. There will be a brief business meeting at 7 p.m. The seminar will start at 7:30 p.m. at 3431 S. Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange.

Vendors needed
The Halifax Sport Fishing Club is looking for vendors for its second annual Fishing Expo and Swap Meet Saturday, Jan.29.
The meet will begin at 9 a.m. and run until 4 p.m. at the HSFC clubhouse at 3431 S. Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange.
New and used fishing, diving, boating equipment and nautical related items will be offered for sale by various vendors and private individuals.
A vendor table is $25 per table and a tent vendor is $50.
There will be guest speakers throughout the day, and lunch will be available.

Rolex 24 set for Jan. 29-30
The 60th Rolex 24 at Daytona will be Jan. 29-30 at Daytona International Speedway to open the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
The Rolex 24 weekend kicks off on Thursday, Jan. 27, with practice sessions in all classes. On Friday, Jan. 28, the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season will begin with the four-hour BMW Endurance Challenge.
The track will host back-to-back racing weekends with the annual Roar Before the Rolex 24 preseason test sessions Friday, Jan. 21, to Sunday, Jan. 23. Qualifying to determine the starting lineup for the Rolex 24 at Daytona will be Sunday, Jan. 23. Scout Days are set to return in January.

The Taste of the 24, annually on the Saturday evening after the drop of the green flag for the Rolex 24, will benefit the NASCAR Foundation. It features dining experiences, featuring local restaurant fare in the Midway Suites as part of the frontstetch seating.
Deltona recreation leagues
Deltona Parks & Recreation has added new recreation options for families.
•Youth Baseball League will play February and March. Registration deadline is Jan. 14. The cost is $50 per child for ages 3 to 8 (divided into T-ball for 3 to 4-year-olds and coach-pitch for 5 to 8-year-olds). At Wes Crile Park, 1537 Norbert Terrace. Coaches needed.
•Youth Flag Football will play March and April. Registration deadline is Feb. 11. The cost is $50 per child for ages 5-12. At Wes Crile Park, 1537 Norbert Terrace. Games will be Saturday mornings with one practice during the week. Coaches needed.
•Adult Softball League (Polar Bear League) will play February-March. Registration deadline is Jan. 21. The cost is $450 per team or join an interest list and be placed on a team (available at Wes Crile). Age 18 and older. Dupont Lakes Park, 2711 Elkcam Blvd.

Tennis club meets
The Redneck Tennis Club for seniors 55 and older plays tennis at 7:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Detwiler Park, 701 Horton Ave., New Smyrna Beach.
