Makayla Bertrand and Calvin Hull from Bishop Alexander Carter Catholic Secondary School are the latest SDSSAA High School Athletes of the Week.

Bertrand is a multi-sport athlete who has earned praise for her focus and drive, and for being a solid performer who shows a high level of leadership for other female athletes, while also demonstrating sportsmanship in the face of adversity.
She is a key player on the girls flag football team, in the role of rusher, as well as a setter on the senior girls volleyball team. She also plays senior girls basketball, suits up for the U17 Sudbury Jam, competes at Nordic skiing events and plays on the girls hockey team.
Hull is a talented, hard-working multi-disciplinary athlete who has also earned marks for his positive attitude, both on and off the court, as well as his leadership ability.
He is a key role-player on the baseball, basketball, volleyball and hockey teams, serving the latter as a goaltender who can be counted on to give his team a chance at victory.
