Central Park was taken over Thursday night by the flag football championships held by the City of Santa Clarita.
For the major league division, the Titans and Bengals faced off for their championship.
In a back-and-forth battle between the two teams, the Titans came out on top as the 2023 major league division champions.
Following the Titans game, the senior league division prepared to take the field.
Competing for the championship in the senior league were the 49ers and the Eagles – who are also known to their fans as the “Spartans.”
The Eagles spent Thursday night competing for top place entering fresh off a championship win at the Gridiron Football Tournament in Texas on Sunday.
None of that mattered to the Eagles, because it was a new day and another championship they had their eyes set upon.
Before the game began, the Eagles arrived at Central Park early to prepare for the big game with head coach Arif Harsolia.
As both teams took their turns running through the entrance tunnel there was excitement and determination in the eyes of all the boys.
To begin the first drive of the evening the Eagles drove the ball down the field with ease.
Although the team made it to the red zone, the 49ers eventually picked off the Eagles in the end zone, transferring control of the ball.
The Eagles looking to make a stop of their own repaid the 49ers by getting an interception of their own.
The Eagles went on to dominate the game from that moment on, and won the Santa Clarita championship, 38 – 12.
