Three law enforcement agencies are looking for a man who has been impersonating police and pulling people over at the Jersey Shore.

New Jersey State Police issued a joint statement Monday along with Brick Police and Wall Police, all asking for your help identifying a man who is suspected of impersonating a police officer.
In one of the reported incidents, the man whose sketch is seen above, pulled over a woman in Brick on August 1 around 2:00 pm.
The woman told the real police that she pulled over because she thought an actual police officer was behind her.
The suspect then approached the vehicle and identified himself as a police officer but after a brief dialogue, the woman in the vehicle became suspicious, she said, and promptly asked him for identification.
He didn’t provide any but instead asked the woman out of the vehicle.
She didn’t comply with that request and that made the man upset, so he tried to remove her from the vehicle.
She got away, fleeing the scene and went to report the incident.
A second reported incident, with similar measures taken placed, occurred on August 3 around 9:45 am in Wall Township.

According to both victims, the man impersonating police is driving a black, older model Ford Crown Victoria with a blue dome light on his front dashboard.
He is described as a white male, 40-50 years old, with long red hair pulled back in a pony tail, a red scruffy beard, and tattoos on both arms and the back of his hands.
Police said that this man was last seen wearing black BDU pants, a light blue short-sleeved bloused shirt with the word “police” on the front and non-descriptive patches on the arms that also said “police” but no specific department.
In addition, the suspect was also wearing a duty belt and a holster with what appeared to be black handgun.
