It’s important that we take time out each day, week, month, year, and so forth to recognize and honor our first responders and military heroes and not just on designated days of the year but all 365.
As Dave Crossan and I head into the month of May and Show #13 of ‘Shore Time with Vin and Dave’ on 94.3ThePoint and 105.7TheHawk every Sunday from 6-8 am, we want to dedicate a segment of our show each week to honor the men and women in our community who keep us safe and healthy from police officers/law enforcement to firefighters and EMT’s/EMS to doctors and nurses and active military members and veterans.
We need your help though as we put together this new endeavor for ‘Shore Time with Vin and Dave’, and we’d like to hear from you as people of the community in Ocean County and Monmouth County, like police chiefs, sheriffs, prosecutors, hospitals, and health network executives, municipal/town officials.

Let us know who the heroes are in your life, who is going above and beyond the call of duty, who made you smile today, who held the door, did you witness or heard of a rescue, tell us of the unsung heroes as well — the people who do something good but isn’t being recognized or has done something no-one else knows about, etc.
Pass this along as well.
The way to submit your nominations and stories of the hero you have seen, heard, and witnessed is by emailing us at shoretime@townsquaremedia.com or at vin.ebenau@townsquaremedia.com and just give the name of the nominee and 2-5 sentences telling a quick story about them and what they did.
Here are some examples of the first responders in our Ocean and Monmouth County communities who’ve made and continue to make our community a safer and better place to live, work, and be ourselves.
