N.F.L. Affiliated Youth Flag Football League Coming To Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —  The Nation’s largest youth flag football league is coming to Charlotte this spring.

National Flag Football is the largest youth flag football program in the country and an NFL affiliate.

The NFF program is open to girls and boys ages 4-14 of all skill levels, and provides a safe, fun environment for kids to learn about football.  The league, which emphasizes sportsmanship and participation, will have a spring season from April 2 – June 2011.

“We are so excited to have our first season in North Carolina,” said Bryan Ledin, Executive Director of National Flag Football. “North Carolina is a hot bed for great football, from powerhouse high schools all the way through to the Carolina Panthers. Plus, with tackle football programs experiencing a decline in participation rates due to parents worried about safety and cost, we really see National Flag Football as something that can step in and fill a need.”

The eight-week spring season features games spread across 14 locations in seven counties including Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Forsyth, Guilford, Union, and Wake.

Practices are held one hour before each game and all participants receive a reversible NFL Flag Football jersey, as well as their own NFL flag belt and flag to keep.

The game format is five-on-five, played on a 60-yard-long field, with certified and trained officials.

Participants must register by February 24th.  Click here to sign up.  The league fees are between $119-$139 depending on location

Visit National Flag Football – Carolinas Facebook page, like and share the 2017 spring promotion post and comment at which location you would like to play and why you like flag football for a chance to have your registration fees waived.  Three winners will be selected randomly on Feb. 24.

Contact the National Flag Football office at 877-866-FLAG or www.NationalFlagFootball.com for more information.
