County deck inspections find a majority have code or safety concerns

“They trusted a contractor, or they trusted a friend of a friend and thought it was done correctly,” said county inspector Jeremy Shupp, noting that some residents bought homes without knowledge of who built the deck or whether the required permits and inspections had been obtained. [WUSA 9]
