SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni is thrilled to announce the inaugural Youth Flag Football Tournament, set to kick off on Saturday, at American International College’s Ronald J. Abdow Field.
The event, held in partnership with Excel Sports Academy of New England, will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to all Hampden County residents.
The tournament aims to bring the community together for a day filled with fun, fitness, and learning. Designed for children aged 10 and under, the event will feature a series of flag football games as the highlight of the day. In addition to the sports action, attendees can enjoy various activities and amenities, including:
- Nutrition and wellness education sessions
- A variety of vendors
- Food trucks offering delicious treats
- A special guest speaker
Participants are required to check in between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. to ensure a smooth start to the day’s events.
