The Atlanta Falcons has announced the 2021 Bill Walsh Coaching Fellow for the 2021 AT & T Falcons Training Camp. Eric Capetillo, Tessa Grossman, Daryl Jackson and Cliff Matthews will join the team to prepare for the 2021 kick-off.
Capetillo is currently the Head Varsity Football Coach of Las Vegas High School. His team was ranked 7th in Nevada before the start of the 2020 season. Since serving as the school’s head coach for the past six seasons, the team’s GPA has improved from 2.71 to 3.28. Prior to becoming the head coach of the football team, Capetillo founded the Girls Flag Football Program and was head coach at Las Vegas High School. He established the rules and procedures and hosted an annual tournament for 12 teams and more than 450 participants. Capetillo works especially on tight end and Falcons running backs.
Grossman currently holds a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology from Illinois State University. While earning her degree, she is a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for women’s basketball, gymnastics, golf, softball, volleyball, soccer and men’s tennis programs. Grossman also spent his time as an internship coach at the Los Angeles Rams in the 2018 season and as an internship coach at the University of California, Berkeley in the summer of 2019. She works with Falcons’ strength and conditioning staff.
Jackson is a Deputy Coach and Special Team Coordinator at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, a college-level coach for over 25 seasons, leading eight bowl teams and two conference championships. During that time, he has eight years of defensive back, six years as a special team coach, and three years as an attack coordinator. Jackson will work with former Bill Walsh Fellow and current Falcons Special Team Coordinator Marquice Williams.
Matthews, a former Falcons 7th round draft topic in the 2011 draft who played alongside defensive lines from 2011 to 2016, is now a defensive line coach at Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia. He was a defensive line coach at Gaffney’s Limestone College. , SC, last season.
