The Ceres City Council approved a two-year agreement with the Turlock Youth Sports Foundation to use soccer fields at the Ceres River Bluff Regional Park for the Ceres Adult Flag Football (CAFF) and Ceres Youth Flag Football (CYFF) programs.
The Turlock foundation wants to expand to Ceres with both adult and youth organized flag football leagues.
The agreement gives CAFF and CYFF teams a priority use of one field for the adult league on Sundays starting the first Sunday in September through the fourth Sunday in November. For the youth league, they will have priority use of a field on Saturdays from the third week of March through the fourth Saturday in June.
Turlock Youth Sports Foundation will work in cooperation with the City to help maintain the fields at CRBRP and ensure that the park is kept in good condition.
The City of Ceres Recreation Dept. is looking forward to working with the Turlock Sports Foundation – CAFF and CYFF to bring programs that will benefit of the youth in the community. This agreement provides both parties the ability to achieve these goals. The City will receive nominal fees based on registration fees and facility-use fees, which will help offset some of the maintenance and operation costs.
To help offset part of the maintenance and operation costs at the park, the organization will be charged $10 fee per youth player, $15 per hour for practice (optional for teams), and a one-time $250 fee per season to help offset part of the maintenance and operation costs. For the adult league, the city will receive 25 percent per team fee, $15 per hour for practice (optional for teams) and a one-time $250 fee per season.
