The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office participated in a fundraising event Saturday for Special Olympics of New York. The law enforcement agency entered two teams at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park for the Buffalo Bowl, a 6-on-6 flag football tournament. One of the matchups pitted the department’s Deputy Sheriffs against the Corrections Officers. The Deputy Sheriffs won that game and wound up advancing to the semifinals of their league. The two teams raised more than $6,000 for the cause.
