Archer’s girls flag football team posted victories over Berkmar and Brookwood on Wednesday.
The Tigers rolled to a 39-0 win over Berkmar with solid defense from Zoe Foye and Camryn King, along with a game-opening interception for a touchdown by Ciara Fayson. Devyn Lambert had a punt return for a TD, two interceptions and four pulls in the win. King had an itnerception with four pulls, Arie Lindsey had five pulls, Abby Zerm had four pulls and Ariel Cherfily had an interception and a TD catch from Sam Meyer.
Archer (5-2) then won its showdown with Brookwood 13-6 when Lambert returned an interception for the game-winning score in the second half. The game was tied 0-0 and Brookwood took a 6-0 lead before the Tigers tied the score on a Meyer to Ashanti Bryant TD pass, followed by a Meyer to Amber Washkill one-point conversion.
Bryant had back-to-back interceptions in the second half that keyed the win over Brookwood.
