The American Canyon High girls volleyball team improved to 2-0 in the Vine Valley Athletic League after a win against Casa Grande on Thursday night.
The Wolves won in three straight games 25-14, 25-11, 25-19.
“We were consistent on both defense and offense throughout the whole match,” Wolves head coach Katy O’Brien said.
Nalani Bustos had three aces, 18 assists and seven digs. Vanessa Vidriales-Zacatecas had two aces, while Jaelyn Denina had five kills and Ava Berry and Adrienne Nicolas added four kills each on their own. Giana Guintu had 11 digs and three kills, while Isabella Avila had seven digs.
Girls Flag Football
Benicia 14, San Ramon 6
The Benicia High girls flag football team improved to 3-1 on the season with a 14-6 win over San Ramon on Thursday night.
The Panthers play next at Oakland Tech on Thursday.

Girls Water Polo
Benicia 14, Pinole Valley 6
The Benicia High girls water polo team picked up a win earlier this week when the Panthers defeated Pinole Valley 14-6.
The Panthers are now 1-2 on the season and play next at Alameda on Wednesday.

Cardinal Newman 16, American Canyon 11
The American Canyon girls water polo team lost to Cardinal Newman on Thursday, falling 16-11.
The Wolves are now 1-1 on the season and play next on Tuesday against Sonoma Valley.
