- ICYMI: NY Jets name Walt Whitman’s coach as ‘Coach Of The Week’. Walt Whitman football coach Robin Rosa was named New York’s coach of the week by the New York Jets last week. “This award is for the entire program,” Rosa stated via news release. (Huntington Patch)
- Donnelly seeking re-election to Suffolk Legislature. Democratic candidate Tom Donnelly has plenty of ideas on how to help Huntington move forward and fix old problems, and cites The American Rescue Plan as an option to do so. Many businesses are eligible for grants from the government and Donnelly is looking to make the process easier. He is also an advocate on mental health and building up South Huntington Station. - Powerful Nor’easter targets LI this week. It’s a wet week ahead for Long Island, an the beginning of the week is not looking pretty. A flash flood watch will be in effect from 8 p.m. Monday to 5 p.m. along with potential for 50 mph winds. 2-4 inches of rain are possible, with locally higher amounts possible as well.
