1. Suffolk County Government: Suffolk County offers Moderna vaccination clinic. Suffolk County Health Commissioner Dr. Gregson Pigott announced that the Suffolk County Department of Health Services will be offering the Moderna vaccine for the first time in more than six months at its COVID-19 vaccination clinic today from 1 to 3 p.m. at the H. Lee Dennison Building in Hauppauge. The county says it wants to “ensure the safety of it’s residents.” (Press Release Desk)
2. Man Steals Two Handbags From Saks Fifth Avenue Huntington: Police. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in finding the man who police said stole handbags July 6. A man entered Saks Fifth Avenue, inside Walt Whitman Shops, around 3:30 p.m. July 6 and stole two MCM handbags before driving away in a four-door Silver Hyundai sedan, police said. The merchandise was valued at approximately $1,575, police said. He is wanted for grand larceny, and his picture in is in the link. Please call Crime Stoppers with any information at 1-800-220-TIPS. 3. Northport High School student running successful podcast. Northport High School student Amanda Penny is using her interviewing skills to run a successful podcast, which she has titled “Amanda’s World.” The podcast focuses on topics of interest to Amanda, ranging from her favorite television shows to her focus on a career in journalism. She hopes to one day work for MTV or Barstool Sports, and continues to grow the podcast. (thehuntingtonian.com)
