  1. Huntington, foundation launch crowdfunding effort for Crippen House study. The Town of Huntington and the 1653 Foundation have started a crowdfunding campaign to help fund an expanded archaeological study at the Peter Crippen House. An anonymous donor has offered to match up to $10,000 in contributions made through Oct. 31. The home is a historic icon in Huntington, and many archeological relics can be found with the proper funding. (Huntington Now)
  2. Police: Man faces graffiti charges for defund-cop messages. In case you missed our story this week, Thomas Rivas, 26, of Huntington, spray-painted on at least 10 buildings in Huntington Station and Elwood between March 20 and April 23, police said. The messages said ‘Defund the police’, and other anti-police rhetoric. (Newsday)
  3. Candidate profile: Rebecca Sanin for Huntington Supervisor. Town of Huntington residents are getting ready to head to the polls for Election Day on Nov. 2, where they will be voting on the Town of Huntington supervisor.
