    Columbia Terrace is a 14-unit affordable condo complex with a veterans preference made up of 8 two-bedroom units and 6 one-bedroom units. The lottery will be held Dec. 8, and veterans have until the last day of the month to apply. (Huntington Now)
  2. Ex-manager of Book Revue launches campaign for new bookstore. Mallory Braun, who worked as a manager at Book Revue for more than five years before it closed, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for another bookstore in Huntington called ‘The Next Chapter’. Former owner Richard Klein, refused to take donations from the public, and the goal is set at $250,000 by Dec. 16. (Long Island Press)
  3. Tim Sini concedes to Republican Ray Tierney. With the recent rise in crime on Long Island, the race for Suffolk DA was an important vote for many Suffolk residents, and Republican Ray Tierney has beat Democrat Tim Sini. “I will fight every day to keep the citizens of Suffolk County safe,” Tierney said in his victory speech.
